Sinead O’Connor Getting Into Politics

Sinead O'Connor is getting in to the political arena. Will anything compare to how she wants things run? 

Sinead O'Connor has always been political, but now she's apparently thinking about getting into politics.  The always outspoken singer-songwriter said in a recent blog post that she'd like to join Ireland's Sinn Féin political party.  But Sinead said she'd join "just as a regular punter" who wants to learn about how ordinary people can bring about change.  She also suggested the "elders" in the party should step down, and said she would "like to see a proper socialist Ireland."  A Sinn Féin spokesperson told BBC News they're currently processing O'Connor's membership application. Will she be approved?
