Des Rocs: Unplugged & Storytelling Mode At WRRV Sessions

One of the best things about our WRRV Sessions shows is that you never quite know what to expect when you walk into that taproom. Maybe it's an artist you grew up listening to on WRRV, or maybe it's a brand new to all of us band just emerging into the scene.

Perhaps we've got a portion of a band, completely unplugged, or the whole crew, with a full backline.

Pre-planned setlist - maybe? Flying off the cuff - sometimes! We even get people on stage who ask, can I just keep going - of course, we don't mind!

Kicking Of WRRV Sessions For 2026 With An Unforgettable Night

We know it took a little while to get things going in the new year, but i'd say it was worth the wait, as our first WRRV Sessions of 2026 with Des Rocs on Friday, February 27th was pretty incredible.

During the interview, we learned that it isn't very often that Des Rocs strips down his stage show to an acoustic one. He actually said we'd be in for a treat, or maybe even a trick...

The show itself though was more than a treat, as not only did he bring an incredible acoustic set to the Sessions stage, but between each song, captivated the crowd with an amazing story of how he first began playing music, and his journey towards becoming Des Rocs.

In addition to heartfelt storytelling, a beautiful acoustic performance, Des Rocs was also the first WRRV Sessions artist to be featured on our WRRV Sessions headshots for autographs. Moving forward we'll be handing out a limited number at each show for attendees to get autographed and take home!
