Where were all the trick or treaters this Halloween?

I don't understand it. The rain held off and we had some really spooky gusts of wind on Halloween. It was almost a perfect fall night but the trick or treaters never showed up. Bummer.

There has been a lot of talk over the past few years about changing the date of Halloween to the last Saturday in October. Many parents argue that they'd be able to spend more time with their kids, it would be more safe, and kids wouldn't have to go to school the next day if Halloween happens to fall on a weekday.

I've only lived in my new house of a few months. This was my first Halloween in the new place but I live in a pretty big neighborhood so I had to come ready for battle. I bought six giant bags of candy.

I got the good stuff too. I got Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Milky Way, Skittles and Thre Musketeers. I loaded up only to get 8 kids show up on my door.

What the heck happened? Did the parents not let the kids go out in the dark anymore? Was it too windy?

I guess I have a bunch of extra candy now.
