3 Years at WRRV & I’m Thankful For You, the Listener
It's the time of the year where we're supposed to go around and give thanks. Besides my friends, family and good health I'm thankful you. The person who supports us on a daily basis. Getting up at the crack of dawn every single weekday doesn't get easier. It also doesn't help that I've never been a morning person. Why does a person who doesn't like mornings wake up at 4 in the morning? The answer is pretty simple. I do it for you.
It's time for my yearly sappy Thanksgiving post filled with all kinds of cheese so strap in.
A few years ago when I was offered a position here on WRRV I was reluctant to make a change and move to the Hudson Valley. Don't take it personally. We all get stuck in our comfort zone from time to time. SPOILER ALERT: I got over my nerves, stepped out of my comfort zone and moved to the Hudson Valley.
I've lived in the Hudson Valley for about three years now. It's crazy how quickly time flies by.
I just wanted to take the time to say how thankful I am to be apart of your morning because I don't think you're thanked enough. Maybe you tune in everyday on your way to work, maybe you interact with us on Instagram or maybe you read my blogs on WRRV.com. Entertaining is what I've always wanted to do and I'm so glad I get to do what I love and be surrounded by such hard working and wonderful people.
We really have the best listeners. That's a humble brag. You're so supportive and generous.
If it wasn't for the fans of WRRV and the Morning Grind we wouldn't be able to do some of the amazing things we do for the community like Shop with a Cop. Thanks to you, we'll be able give kids presents this holiday season who may not get any otherwise.
It's not always easy but I've got it pretty great. I wake up, write jokes, play music and go to concerts. I'm living the dream and it's all thanks to you.
Listen to the WRRV Morning Grind With Brandi and Nick weekday mornings from 6AM to 10AM through your WRRV app. Connect with WRRV on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
