I'm not 100 years old. I fully understand that having a cool post office is not exactly the biggest thing you could brag about in 2020 but I thought it was neat.

As a millennial, I don't use snail mail too often. I think it's safe to say that I've only been inside 3 post offices in my entire life. No offense to anyone who works at the post office or for the United States Postal Service but each trip is more boring than the next.

I was really taken back by the inside of the post office in downtown Beacon. Every wall in the historical building was painted with a map of the entire Hudson Valley.

I'm sure natives of Beacon are not phased by this massive painting but I've got to admit that I stayed a few extra minutes to look.

I don't know if seeing this post office painting belongs on a Hudson Valley bucket list but if you're ever in the area it might be worth checking out.
