Lionel Richie's "Hello" has always had a vibe that's weird and desperate at best and creepy and sinister at worst. This video makes it all too clear.

This song has always had a presence in Internet culture because of its absurdity (especially that sculpture so prominently featured in the video), but the use of sound effects and comedic timing of this video take everything to the next level.
I mean, hey, who says you need music to have a music video, anyway?

I'd like to take this opportunity--as I occasionally do--to thank the many patrons of the Interwebs for:

  1. Being geniuses
  2. Having far too much time on their hands
  3. Using that time to express their genius in functionally useless but endlessly entertaining ways
