Photos That Prove the Post-Quarantine Mall Experience is a Weird One
When malls return to the Hudson Valley they might be a little different. I didn’t know what to expect during my recent trip to the Danbury Fair shopping mall.
If you are like me and are waiting for large shopping malls to come back the Hudson Valley you might want to brace yourself because the experience may be completely different than what you're used to for a little while.
Whether you shopped for clothes, caught a movie at the theater or ate at the food court, going to the mall used to be a regular thing for many of us. As New York enters a new phase we can only hope that our local shopping malls will make a triumphant return soon in New York.
For now, residents of the Hudson Valley who miss the mall can take a short drive to Danbury to do their shopping but you should know that the place might be a little different. Social distancing rules have been put in place to ensure the safety of mall patrons.
My recent experience at the Danbury Fair was a wake-up call to what the indoor shopping experience could look like under the 'new normal' post quarantine days. There is still a lot of uncertainty amid the coronavirus pandemic so safety measures are crucial. Many rules were in place and sections blocked off to ensure a safe distance from other shoppers.
Though my experience at the mall was a little strange I never felt unsafe at any point. Will this be what malls look like for a while? We'll have to wait and see.
