47 Year Old Elephant Helped Back On Her Feet at New York Zoo
We have all experienced a moment where we have fallen and, for whatever reason, we can't get back up. Sometimes it is the way we fell, or sometimes it is how we landed. Seneca Park Zoo Staff Come To The Rescue Of 47-Year-Old Elephant
Genny C, an African Elephant at the Seneca Park Zoo in Rochester, New York, I am sure is extremely grateful to the Seneca Zoo staff who helped her back to her feet yesterday. Genny C was accidentally pushed over by a herdmate at a feeding station, resulting in her being unable to get up.

Genny C, who is an African Elephant, is 47 years old, and this fall was very serious for her. Once she fell, it became apparent she was struggling to get back up. That is when quick-thinking zoo staff jumped in to help.

Genny C has called the Seneca Park Zoo home since 1979. She also happens to be one of the oldest African Elephants in conservation care.
