The UK Came to the Hudson Valley for WRRV Sessions
WRRV Sessions at Newburgh Brewing Company welcomed international guests The Ramona Flowers on Thursday, October 19th, and the taproom was packed!
It was special night in Newburgh, NY with a band that says they prefer playing in America over their home country of the United Kingdom. "The audience is way better here", said guitarist Sam James. "They're just more up for it, people are engaged... in England you gotta impress, everyone [just] stands there still, waiting". The crowd in Newburgh, NY (below) was definitely ready for them to play.

Vocalist Steve Bird shared that the band had specifically re-crafted five of their songs to fit the acoustic format of WRRV Sessions. Ranging from songs about trying to conceive a baby (California) to the itch to go out on the town and turn a weekday into a party (Hey You), the band paused to share the meaning behind each choice.
WRRV Sessions Performers On Tour Together
It's been a busy year for The Ramona Flowers. The band played WRRV Sessions only days after wrapping up touring with (another) previous WRRV Sessions guest, Barns Courtney, and then immediately got back on the road to head to Syracuse, NY after their performance at Newburgh Brewing Company.

2023 has been a busy year for WRRV Sessions. From lovelytheband in February to Blue October in September and so many unbelievable performances in between (who else remembers K.Flay and Misterwives on back-to-back days?), the Hudson Valley has seen some amazing and free live alternative music.
WRRV Sessions is made possible by Newburgh Brewing Company, Walden Savings Bank, Healy Brothers, Ballentine Communications, and Devitts Nursery and Supply in New Windsor. Make sure you download the WRRV app (link above) to be the first to know who will be playing WRRV Sessions next!
